RouteMax Route Planner Policy
RouteMax Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
RouteMax is a route planner for delivery drivers. It has no account system and no server of its own. Almost everything it knows about you never leaves your phone.
What stays on your device
Stored only on your phone, in RouteMax's private application storage:
- Your stops and the routes you have optimized
- Saved routes, route history and the statistics derived from them
- Your settings: units, vehicle fuel consumption and price, starting point preference, theme
- A cache of addresses you have already looked up, so repeat addresses cost no network request
RouteMax has no user accounts and does not upload this data anywhere. It is not backed up to any service we control.
What is sent, and when
When — and only when — you tap Optimize, the addresses and coordinates for that specific route are sent to the mapping provider configured in the app (Google's Geocoding API and Routes API) so those addresses can be located and the route measured. This is what makes the app work.
Nothing is sent while you are typing or pasting: address detection runs entirely on your device. Addresses that are already in the on-device cache are answered locally, with no request at all.
Google's handling of those requests is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Location
RouteMax requests location permission only when you choose "Use my current location" as your starting point, and it takes a single position fix at that moment. RouteMax does not access your location in the background, does not track your movement, and does not keep a location history. You can decline the permission and use a typed starting address instead; every feature except that one shortcut still works.
Photos and text recognition
If you import addresses by photographing a printed stop sheet, the text recognition runs entirely on your device using on-device machine learning. The image is never uploaded and is not retained by RouteMax. Detected addresses are always shown to you for review before they become stops.
No advertising, no analytics, no payments
RouteMax contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no third-party tracking library. There is no subscription, no paid tier and no in-app purchase. Nothing in this app profiles you, builds an advertising identity for you, or follows you into other apps.
Children
RouteMax is a tool for working drivers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13.
Your control over your data
In Settings you can at any time:
- Export all your routes as a CSV file
- Clear the cached address lookups
- Delete your route history
- Delete all local data in one action
Uninstalling RouteMax removes everything it has stored on your device. Because there is no server, there is nothing left behind to request the deletion of.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this address with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or about anything the app does with your data, can be sent to the support email address listed on the RouteMax page on Google Play. A person replies.
